The CPFTA Class of 2028 Application has closed.
The application for students interested in joining the Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Program for the Class of 2028 has now closed. If you have questions about the application for the class of 2028, please reach out to CPFTA@cps.edu.
The Application for the CPFTA Class of 2029 will open in December 2026.
CPFTA will hold information sessions for any sophomore student interested in entering the Class of 2029 during the winter and spring of 2027. Along with CPS representatives, Chicago Fire Department, and Chicago Police Department personnel will be present at the sessions to help answer any questions you may have. Applicants are encouraged to attend one of the information sessions to ask questions about the program.
